the best pizza ever
Being a trucker as my husband is means not having a lot of office parties or after work opportunitys, but a couple of weeks ago we actually got to do something fun with his coworkers and bosses. We met up at a really fun place. It’s kind of a at home bakery/store in a converted garage. Upstairs there is a room to rent for parties and an apartment if you’d like to stay the night.
Downstairs in the bakery we got to make pizzas. So much fun. The owner had prepared the pizza dough and everybody got a lump. Then we could pick and choose what kind of toppings and cheese we wanted. My pizza was a masterpiece with västerbotten-cheese, red onion, ham, tomato and mushroom. Probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. The amount of fun we had didn’t hurt either.
concerts up until now 2013
I’ve been to a few concerts this year. Some of them because I have a teenage daughter and some of them because I or both hubby and I wanted to. I though I’d share them here as well as on my Swedish blog.
Justin Bieber, Ericsson Globe, Stockholm, April 24th 2013.
Kiddo has loved Justin Bieber for a while and even though she is a little more sensible now she still enjoys his music. He had sold out his first two concerts at Globe Arenas but when they decided to add a third concert I thought I’d make her a happy teenage girl and that worked out well. Actually I was happily surprised. I’m not much of a fan but lights, sound and show over all was quite good. I didn’t suffer.

I have loved DM since I was a teenager, but I had never seen them live. Considering my first ever big concert was just over two years ago (Iron Maiden in Gothenburg) it’s not that surprising. Anyway, DM was going to play at Peace & Love festival which is just 20 km from where I live. Me, hubby and one of my friends bought tickets för just one of the three days. We were totally focused on DM and finally getting to see them. And the damn festival declared bankruptcy just a little over a month before. Thankfully they decided to play anyway. The concert was moved to Stockholm and those of us that had lost money on tickets for Peace & Love got a small consolation, 50 % off the ticket price. And the concert was magic. Pure magic.
Iron Maiden, Friends Arena, Stockholm, June 10th 2013.
We always love Iron Maiden. This time we brought kiddo so that she could experience the whole atmosphere that surrounds a rock concert. She really liked it. Unfortunately the sound was horrible. Not Maiden’s fault. The arena is brand new and the pride of politicians and builders alike. And constantly under critique for bad sound.

Kiddo’s father bought tickets for Rihanna and then couldn’t go, so I got to go with her instead. She was less than half an hour late (win) and the show was really great. I really enjoyed it.
You’d think I filled my quota of concerts this year, but no. In just a little over three weeks I get to see Depeche Mode again when they return to Sweden for a second time on their Delta Machine tour. I’m ecstatic!
